Overview
Zanskar Valley is one of the most remote, rugged regions in the Himalayas, located in the Kargil district of Ladakh. Known for its ancient monasteries, soaring peaks, and glaciers, the valley’s administrative center is Padum. It is a premier destination for off-the-grid adventure and cultural exploration.
The Zanskar Valley trip takes you deep into one of the most secluded and stunning regions of Ladakh, where nature’s raw beauty meets ancient traditions. Did you know Zanskar means “white copper,” and the valley is often called the “Land of High Passes” because of its dramatic mountain routes, crystal-clear rivers, and landscapes that appear untouched by time.
Almost every destination in Zanskar has a ‘gompa’ or monastery that dates back ages. You will hardly come across such an experience anywhere else in India. Discover the hidden Himalayas. Experience the magic of Zanskar with Trimounts Holidays.
Note: The best time to visit is during the summer and autumn months from July to September, when the roads are generally clear of snow.
